Successful candidates should be highly motivated and have strong academic backgrounds in Solid Mechanics, Dynamics and Control. Experience in FEA tools, CAD, mechatronics, fiber-optics or hands-on machining is preferred. The students will participate in multidisciplinary studies focusing on the design of novel surgical robotic devices, actuators and sensors for minimally invasive robotic surgery.
